UX/UI design

Interfaces that people understand without a manual. Our designers work inside the development team, so the research, the prototypes and the final screens come from the people who will build the product.

What we do

  • Research and flows - interviews, usage data, process mapping, user flows and information architecture, so the product is built around real tasks.
  • Prototyping - clickable prototypes in Figma, tested with users before a line of code is written.
  • Interface design - design systems and components, screens for web and mobile, icons and illustration, motion in After Effects and Lottie.
  • Usability testing - moderated sessions and remote tests with Lookback, with the findings fed straight back into the design.
  • Design for development - specifications and hand-off in Figma and Zeplin, with the designer available to the developers throughout the project.

Tools we work in: Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Illustrator and Photoshop, Miro, FlowMapp, Zeplin, Lottie and Lookback.

How design fits the project

In the Mitigate model design is its own stage between inception and development. We design the first screens before development starts and then keep one step ahead of the developers, so nobody waits and nothing is designed that will not be built. Business systems get the same attention as consumer apps: fewer clicks for a task that an operator does two hundred times a day saves hours every week.

What you receive is not a set of pictures but a working product: the same team continues with mobile or web development, and the design system grows with the product.

Who it is for

  • Teams launching a new app or portal who want it tested with users before it is built.
  • Companies with a working system that users find hard - a redesign of the interface without rebuilding the backend.
  • Product owners who need a design system so that every new feature looks and behaves consistently.
  • Organisations that need their service to work equally well on phones, desktops and large screens.

What you get

  • A research summary and the user flows, so every later decision can be traced back to a real task.
  • A clickable prototype tested with users before development starts.
  • A design system in Figma: colours, typography, components and their states.
  • The screens for web and mobile with hand-off specifications, and the designer in the team during development.
