GAIS

GAIS is a tool that allows to apply for a GASO gas pipeline installation, manage apps, prepare documentation, and issue invoices. The system is also integrated with other information networks to optimise processes.

How did the need for such a system arise?

Before GAIS, applications for gas pipeline installation were made only by filling in a written form or via an outdated website. Submitted applications were subsequently manually registered in an internal system, which also managed the status of the applications. Other tools for processing the applications were also used in the process. For example, the GIS used to design the gas pipeline. The fragmentation of systems and the proportion of manual work had a negative impact on efficiency.

Solution

The GAIS information system allows to request a gas pipeline installation. The company can process applications, administer their status, and plan the fulfilment of applications. When a project is submitted, the system automatically generates the necessary documentation, significantly reducing the amount of manual work.

The system enables the review of the development costs of a project and projecting its cost-effectiveness taking into account the total costs and number of users. GAIS integration with other information systems facilitates document turnover processes. An example is the integration with a GIS solution, which makes it easy to open the project layout from the pipeline installation application file.

GAIS functionality also includes automatic invoicing for project development services and is integrated with the accounting system for easy invoicing and receiving payment status. In addition, a modern and user-friendly self-service environment has been developed where applications can be submitted and up-to-date information can be viewed along with all accompanying documentation.
